UPCOMING
Bye’s debut book of photojournalism is an open-ended dialogue on the topics of homelessness and civic control. Neither romantic nor prescriptive, this book is a study in tensions: between permanence and erasure, ownership and displacement, past and future, the stories we tell ourselves and the reality unfolding in front of us.
The book is titled More Paint and is set to release in August of 2025. Nate Gowdy and Lisa van Dam-Bates are on as editors.
Release information and events schedule forthcoming.
Project Grant Recipient — 4Culture 2025
I'm honored to share that More Paint has received support from 4Culture through their 2025 Art Projects: Individuals grant.
This funding helps make it possible to continue documenting Seattle’s shifting urban landscape—and the stories written across its walls. I'm grateful to the panelists and the broader arts community that made this grant possible, and to 4Culture for investing in work that examines place, memory, and public space.
